The building which I currently work at in the centre of Sheffield (UK) has been a building site since we moved in about 18 months ago and shows no signs of ever being finished.

As your building is now presumably well overdue, you're in the realms of imaginary numbers, so the builders are there, just imaginary...
One wonders how they go about building sandwich shops...
Mrs Humbug points out with the current trend in low slung jeans, there are many builders walking around Sheffield who could be recruited to improve things.
